Wayfair's supplier guidance is short and specific. Images need to be at least 1000x1000 pixels to be featured on the site, and 2000x2000 photos will highlight every detail. They also expect more than one image per product — at least two to start, and a mix of shot types: single-product silhouette, zoomed-in environmental, zoomed-out environmental, functional and dimensional. For a furniture or decor catalog that multiplies fast: five shots per SKU, each shot a full-resolution camera file, and the whole set has to be light enough to upload and fast enough to render inside a Wayfair-hosted page. The shots that suffer most from blunt compression are the environmental ones — fabric weave on a sofa, grain on a wood table, brushed metal on a lamp base all flatten into plastic when quality drops in one big step. Compress in small steps against a 2000x2000 master and the texture survives.
